7 months 1 week - Port Townsend, WA adventure
This weekend we went to Port Townsend WA for a whale watching tour. The weekend was truly gorgeous. We came down to Port Townsend on Saturday afternoon, enjoyed an amazing Thai dinner at Banana Leaf Bistro, and explored a beautiful old Fort Worden Military base, now designated as a State park. On Sunday morning we boarded Puget Sound express and spent the entire day out in the Salish Sea, as well as multiple bays, looking for resident and migrating orcas as well as humpback whales, but encountered only minca whales who were feeding in groups of 2 and 3. Around lunch time we stopped at Friday Harbor on San Juan Island and enjoyed relaxed strolls, lunch and beautiful views.
