Mother's Day 2016

Image
What better way to end a perfect Mother's day than to blog about it? I certainly received a royal treatment today, that I totally didn't expect, or in any way deserve. The morning started with Isabella (read Robert) giving me a bouquet of beautiful roses, and a memory journal for our kids. For the rest of the day, not only I didn't have to cook, but we also experienced one of the best meals of our lives in Brazilian Steak House Fogo De Chao. Throughout the day Robert masterfully took care of Isabella, from dressing her in a beautiful horse dress, to feeding her breakfast, to getting into the pool with her for the weekly swim class... Thank you, honey! I'm so wonderfully blessed to have you <3 After the swimming class, we went to a great estate sale, and after we came home a beautiful bouquet and chocolates were waiting for us by the door - what a great surprise from my Father-in-Law! Thank you!

Isabella is 18 months

Isabella is already a year and a half old, and we are having a blast with this young daughter of ours. First, Isabella had her 18 months check, and she is doing great on all of her milestones. She is still 99% percentile for her height and head circumference, and 98 percentile for her weight. During the appointment the Dr. asked us how many words Isabella uses consitencly, and we didn't have an answer. So when we got home we made a list. Looks like more than 80. So here are some of them - probably the last time I will be counting words that she uses, but fun milestone to look at. Russian - да - абан (банан :) - сыр - каша -рис - типси (птица) - паста - на! - стул - солнце - дождь - куртка - слон - бабочка - акадо - суп - яичко - блинчик - пупочек Food: - Juice -mamama (for milk) - apple - bread - yo -yo (yogurt) - chicken -chips -wa-wa (water) People: - Mama Anya - Dada - baby -Dadiel (Daniel, Danielle) - Ma (our Chinese friend) - Boddi...

Spring in the back yard - almost 17 month

Image
Wow, I didn't realize that I haven't made a single post since Christmas. I certainly have to change that, and backfill some of the photos and events. Anyway, today Isabella had a great time playing the backyard on her water and sand table. We didn't have water, or sand, but rice and measuring cups did the trick. Daffodils by the front entrance  Isabella played for at least an hour with sand and measuring cups :) Gorgeous spring blooms Laminate kale and mint. First edibles of the season. Our little flower - always ready to go.

And this is just the beginning - 16 months and 2 weeks

Our little explorer discovered something interesting in Mommy's purse - lipstick! She knew exactly what to do... And Daniel Tiger needed some beautification as well.. LOL Later that day Daddy brought home some Shamrock Shake (annual St. Patrick's tradition), and she wouldn't let it go.

December with a 13 months old

The month of December has been full of fun events - like a Christmas reception at my former college, Ugly sweater Christmas party, going to the tree farm to select and cut our own tree. And then today, Isabella and I attended our first-ever mother and daughter event - Christmas tea. Ready for Daughter- Mother Tea.  And doggie, you are not coming with us.
